The SPG Youth Fellowship theme for the year 2009 was Synergic Revolution and the youth of our Cathedral have been great Synergizers, ministering amongst other churches and youth fellowship gatherings. Our visits were not only confined to the regular praise and worship, skit and choreographies, but it turned out to be a beautiful time of bonding between us and them. And this is exactly what Synergic Revolution is all about – the body of Christ coming together, setting aside every barrier, to lift the name of Jesus high!
With the goal of enriching the spiritual side of our youth, the weekly youth fellowship was meticulously planned with various themes and topics related to issues faced by the youth of today. We revamped the stereo type youth fellowship with games, video testimonies and monthly Bible studies by our clergy, challenging messages by guest speakers, Q&A sessions, praise and worship led by various upcoming and seasoned bands, group prayers and many other such activities. Through all these, we have witnessed a drastic transformation in the lives of many of our youth and we praise God for it!
Be it New Year, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, VBS, Revival meetings, Friday Fasting prayers, Children’s Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Service, Sunday School activities or the Christmas Carols, the youth have always played an integral part in each of these. Every 5th Sunday, our youth fellowship have the privilege of ministering to our cathedral congregation. We heartily thank every member of the youth, for rendering their service for the kingdom of God!
SPARK TO A FLAME, our theme for the 2009 Bonfire, is our motto for the year 2010. Looking back at all that God has made possible in the youth fellowship, we look forward to greater days ahead. It is our desire that the little spark in our hearts will soon ignite and burn brightly for the glory and honour of Jesus’ mighty name!
Friend, if you are young at heart, our youth fellowship is the best place you can ever be. It’s not only a fellowship, but a place where God moulds and shapes each one, for the greater plan He has for our lives!
